Linda Fukuoka

User Biography

Experience and integrity.

These two words come to mind when we think of Linda Fukuoka.

She has spent decades managing logistics and strengthening the supply chain for highly successful companies. That’s the kind of experience you can count on!

Linda’s top priority is making her customers lives easier while always being honest, transparent and developing a true trusting partnership. At Delivery Express Logistics she says her team works hard to ensure that all orders are delivered to exceed their expectations. That’s why we think of integrity when we think of Linda.

It doesn’t surprise us that Linda says when she’s away from work she really enjoys DIY projects because while on the job she’s a master at putting things together, sometimes complicated logistical things, so at the end of the day her customers are happy and her close-knit Delivery Express Logistics team can take pride in another job well done.

Mike Moraski
Chief Information Officer

Mike Moraski

User Biography

Mike puts his heart and soul into his work as our Chief Information Officer just like he did with the Peace Corps before he came to Delivery Express Logistics. After spending six months of doing important volunteer work in Moldova, an Eastern European country tucked in between Romania and Ukraine, he decided it was time to begin a career back home.

He’s our technology, software and data expert who gathers and studies all the important information and then breaks it down for the rest of us so we can best serve our customers. He’s most satisfied when he leaves work knowing the data he crunched and distributed helped make our customers and his coworkers happy with another day filled with successful on time deliveries.

When he’s done creating analytics dashboards at work he’s a down to earth guy who enjoys exploring new neighborhoods in the Seattle area with his wife Kara and dog Roxie. In our wonderfully different parts of town Mike and Kara like to try new restaurants and Roxie seems to love the new smells.

Mike has been working his magic at Delivery Express Logistics for over a dozen years now. Every day he brings his passion to work to make sure we always do the best job we can.

Chief Financial Officer

Ken Johnson

User Biography

When Ken thinks about his priorities in his life he thinks about his family, job and community. Nothing is more important to Ken than his children. They enjoy traveling together, locally and internationally. Truth is, they simply enjoy being together.

Ken says one of the things he appreciates most about Delivery Express Logistics is it treats its employees like family. He says that attitude has helped the company put together a great team that has a shared and consistent goal of providing a great service to its customers.

From handling money matters for the short and long term to managing employee benefits, as CFO of Delivery Express Logistics, Ken has a lot on his plate but he makes sure he also has time to be involved in his community. Over the years he has contributed in many ways to several local charities.

Ken loves sports, especially football. He feels lucky to be a season ticket holder to University of Washington football games. The UW football team has put together a winning program in recent years and that’s something Ken equates to the strong team at Delivery Express Logistics. He says he knows he’s had a good day when he leaves work knowing he achieved a common goal with his co-workers and had positive interactions with members of his team. It’s that kind of camaraderie that leads to top quality service for customers, which Ken says is the ultimate goal at Deliver Express Logistics every single day.

Dave Hamilton
President

Dave Hamilton

User Biography

As a child Dave Hamilton, President and Founder of Delivery Express Logistics would always tell the district manager for the newspaper that he wanted a delivery route as soon as he turned 12. The morning of his birthday he awoke a working man.

At 13, Dave started helping the local Smith Brothers milkman make deliveries. Dave would hang on the side of the truck, run the milk up to the neighborhood porches and dash back to the truck. He made a few bucks a day, got a free lunch and all the chocolate milk he could drink. Dave had found his calling!

At 18 he got his first courier job for a real estate title company. A couple years later, while in college, he met an overloaded independent contractor who had his own delivery business. Dave told him if he needed help he was ready to go. Once again Dave got the job.

In 1996 the government deregulated the trucking industry, opening the door to a whole new world for the courier industry. Now that Dave had free rein to compete on an equal basis Delivery Express Logistics was born.

The company has grown steadily and impressively from the small one room office and three drivers it had in the beginning to the 19 employee, 100 independent contractors and more than 600 clients it services today from its office in Tukwila.

There are a few deliveries that Dave has made personally that touched his heart. Delivery Express Logistics is a philanthropic company that believes strongly in giving back to the community. While serving on the board of directors for the Starlight Foundation, Dave was asked if Delivery Express Logistics would deliver the toys that had been donated for sick children and their families at Christmas. He and several drivers did not hesitate to volunteer their time. For Dave these deliveries were a family affair. He recruited his five children to be the elves. The emotional outpouring from these nights was life changing for his children.

Dave knows how important it is to come through for a charity and for a customer. He has hired employees who support the Delivery Express Logistics rallying cry: “We can do this!” Dave strongly believes that “you need to be able to say ‘yes’ to customers every time they call.”
